Pamela Kan has over 25 years of business experience. Pamela joined Bishop-Wisecarver in 1991. In 2000, Pamela was appointed to the role of President. In 2009, Pamela gained controlling interest in the company, and in the following year, Bishop-Wisecarver became certified in the Bay Area Green Business Program. The company has been a WBENC certified woman owned business since 2011.
In 2008 Pamela joined the Board of Directors of National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and California Manufacturing and Technology Association (CMTA), where she is currently serving as the Chairman.
In 2008, Pamela also formed Black Diamond Manufacturing Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bishop-Wisecarver and specialty contract manufacturer that works with other industrial companies to build complex mechanical sub-assemblies and manufacture specialty parts. She then formed WRW Engineering, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bishop-Wisecarver in 2012. In the same year, the Governor appointed Pamela to the California Workforce Investment Board; she currently chairs the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Council (AMWDC).
Latest News: Pamela was awarded the prestigious Mary Lehman MacLachlan Economic Empowerment Award from the Women President’s Organization (WPO) at the group’s annual conference in April. The award is considered one of WPO’s most prestigious honors. (Read More…)
